Nosferatu (1922) with Live Score
Now over 100 years old, F.W. Murnau’s classic silent film Nosferatu continues to haunt and terrify audiences. This first-ever screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula captures the deeply-rooted elements of a waking nightmare. Its eerie, Gothic feel - and chilling performance from Max Shrek as the vampire - set the template for horror films that followed.
This screening will be accompanied by a live soundtrack courtesy of Bristol-based quartet Minima (http://www.minimamusic.co.uk/about/), who specialise in spellbinding contemporary accompaniments to silent films. Their performance for the centenary of this seminal film is an event not to be missed!
